Description
La Costa – This piece congers memories of being in Andalucía over looking the Sea at high noon on a hot day in August.
As a sculptor I love to draw. I call my paintings drawings because I am not a painter primarily.
In this series I have challenged myself to brake free from the grounded aspect of sculpture. I want to embrace the ethereal and to express Joyousness and Freedom as the Yin to the Yang of the constraints of ridged form and weight of traditional sculpture – like that of my stone works.
The work is on 90 lb. watercolor paper.
